Legal, Privacy & Website Policies
Effective Date: July 2026
Welcome to Highwire Therapy. By accessing or using this website, you agree to the policies outlined below. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out through the Contact page.
Website Information
The information provided throughout this website is intended for educational and informational purposes only. While the content reflects my professional experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, it should not be considered medical advice, psychological treatment, or a substitute for individualized care.
Reading this website, downloading resources, submitting a contact form, or scheduling a consultation does not establish a therapist-client relationship.
No Therapeutic Relationship
A therapeutic relationship begins only after:
We have determined that we're a good clinical fit.
Required intake paperwork has been completed.
An informed consent agreement has been signed.
An initial therapy session has taken place.
Until then, communication through this website, email, or consultation scheduling should not be considered therapy or confidential clinical treatment.
Emergency Services
Highwire Therapy is not an emergency or crisis service.
If you are experiencing a mental health emergency or believe you may be in immediate danger:
Call 911
Visit your nearest emergency department
Call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline
Please do not use this website, email, or the contact form for urgent mental health concerns.
Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters.
If you submit information through this website—such as a contact form, consultation request, or email—that information is used solely to respond to your inquiry or provide requested services.
This website may collect limited technical information, including:
Browser type
Device information

General geographic location

This information is collected through standard website analytics and helps improve website performance and user experience. It is not used to identify you personally.
If cookies are used through Squarespace or third-party services such as Google Analytics, they help understand website traffic and functionality. You may disable cookies through your browser settings if you prefer.
Please note that email and website contact forms are not fully secure methods of communication. If you choose to contact Highwire Therapy, please avoid including sensitive medical or personal information.
If you become a therapy client, your protected health information is governed by HIPAA and will be covered in a separate Notice of Privacy Practices provided during the intake process.
Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act, healthcare providers are required to provide clients who are uninsured or choosing not to use insurance with a Good Faith Estimate of expected healthcare costs.
If you are paying privately for therapy services, you have the right to receive an estimate of anticipated charges before services begin.
Your Good Faith Estimate will include expected fees for therapy services and any reasonably anticipated costs associated with your treatment.
Receiving an estimate does not obligate you to begin therapy, and your treatment needs may change over time.
Additional information about your rights under the No Surprises Act can be found at www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
